Check out this new gallery of a porch on an old stone farm house, that we re-built and finished with all composite materials.
Old with the NewThis is a short gallery of a porch we re-built on an old stone farm house. Enjoy!
The OldThis is the old porch before we tore it down. It had numerous repairs in the past, that were, let's just say, poor in quality. Time to start fresh.
Clean SlateNothing left except two of the old posts hanging from the roof structure.
New BeamsHere you can see the new lower posts and the new beams pocketed into the stone structure
FramedThe new PT frame structure is in place. Just a few more details, and we'll be ready to put down the new flooring.
Stone RepairOne of the remaining details was to repair and re-point some of the stone work that was behind the old porch framing.
Sealed UpHere is a look at the completed stone work. Now we can install the last floor joists.
Composite FlooringThe composite flooring shown here was chosen for it's endurance to the elements, and low maintainability. It also looks great!
